The Narex dowel plate allows you to start with square stock near your desired diameter, then simply knock off the leading corners and hammer the stock through the appropriately sized hole to produce perfectly sized dowels. For best results, remove material in small increments, between 1/32” to 1/16” per pass. The plate's holes are precision-machined with a slight taper on the underside, creating relief on the bottom and sharp edges on top for efficient corner shearing. Crafted from surface-ground .290” thick A2 steel and hardened to HRC 61, this dowel plate is built to withstand thousands of uses before needing resharpening. It can be easily maintained by lapping the face. Available in both imperial (1/8” to 5/8”) and metric (4mm to 16mm) sizes, the dowel plate features two countersunk mounting holes for #10 screws, ensuring secure and stable use.
