Shigarakiyaki (Shigarakiyaki) is a pottery made in Shigaraki, Yamagato, Shiga Prefecture, and has a history of over 1200 years as one of the six-kilns in Japan. It was named as a traditional craft from the country in 1976 (1976). Loochimon (registered trademark) comes from the word of Shigaraki's craftsmen used to mean "Fugawari Mono".
