Kourkoubines (Honey and Walnut Cake)
Ingredients
1 cup honey Meligyris
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter Militsopoulos
1/2 cup walnuts Filopoulos, chopped
1 1/2 cups flour Petra
1 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
1 tsp cinnamon Batavia
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake pan.
In a bowl, beat the butter with the sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs, honey, and mix well.
Combine the flour with the baking powder and cinnamon, and add it to the mixture.
Fold in the walnuts and mix.
Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
